geekoloideon
I am about to reveal something extremely personal and excruciatingly embarassing. But simply because I vanish into anonymity amidst the abyss of bloggers, I shall openly admit my weirdness to space...dark matter and otherwise (as if I haven't already *exhibited* enough of my geekness). The truth is, if you've watched too much criminal minds, you can somewhat interpret your own psyche (or maybe I'm just imagining things)...
Many of the things I've pursued in my life are based on TV shows. How nerdy-to-the-nth power is that? Almost pitiful.
- I desperately wanted to start my own kiddie band when I was going through my 'Beatles' phase. It was in the early 90's when a certain local TV station would show Beatles music videos non-stop for 2 hours daily! Ask anybody who knew me in grade school or high school who my favorite band was and they'd all say the 'Beatles.' I memorized all their songs and the chronology of their albums! I tried to forge their signatures! Plus I wrote Paul McCartney a letter when he was knighted (but didn't get any reply).
- I fell hard core in-love with CSI and so I majored in entomology in graduate school...only to find out that they didn't offer classes on forensic entomology because it wasn't feasible to experiment on fetal caracasses to breed maggots. But hey, I discovered my interest in mosquito wrigglers and these critters were super interesting! Grissom had a huge influence on me and I admired Sara. I even wrote Jorja Fox and received an autographed picture! I'm still not over the fact that Warrick was killed on the show. (You can stop cringing now)
- Criminal minds....Penelope Garcia rocks my world! She's the epitome of ultra-coolness! And now I want to learn code. So I asked my husband to teach me C++, but I have no idea how
it's relevant to anything I do at work. I even asked him to teach me binary and he's like, "what for?"
------------------------------
My husband and his colleague are programming Bioloids to do a choreographed traditional dance so they can represent their institution in an international contest on Bioloids. I don't think I can ever be as nerdy as my husband. He puts the capital N on the word...sigh. He's hot.
Hehehehehe! Can't help it. My blog.
