the insecure power
The only relationships that power-hungry/power-hoarding people have are with their enemies. Their lives are filled with imaginary friendships and short-lived alliances.
They spend most of their days thinking about ways to keep their 'power.'
Other days they devote their time scheming.
But almost always, they are alone.
When they are in their most desperate situation, they have no one to depend on. When somebody happens to be available, that 'somebody' is definitely someone who needs something in return.
"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." -Albert Pine

This quote is for me:
"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth." -Oscar Wilde
