i look young now? i'm confused.

So today was my first day as an adjunct prof at a different institution (with a standing agreement with my original employer) and suddenly I'm no longer "ma'am" but "miss." And these students think that I just graduated from college. So I'm not sure whether they're patronizing me because I'm new or what. Maybe I really look like them? Come to think of it, these students are bigger and more mature-looking than what I'm normally accustomed to. Interesting. I have no logical explanation....well, maybe since these kids are in a private university and are well-off compared to students from the state university I work for, perhaps they were better nourished? I don't know. Hmmm. Interesting. Interesting.
