Uh oh, I think Ayn Rand has a competition in the form of Marjane Satrapi. Competition in terms of what? In terms of being my long lost best friend. Thanks to a friend who was formerly a philosophy teacher turned ordained priest/ Vatican-educated theological expert (who is in denial that he may potentially become a bishop or cardinal or the pope LOL) who lent me his copy of Persepolis 2, I met Marjane Satrapi.
No, my life isn't as colorful or briefly banal as hers but in terms of her musings, encounters with odd figures and feelings of social constraint...we are similar. A mind-opening graphic novel.
And like Ms. Satrapi in her graphic memoir...I must educate myself.
