Imaginings, dreams, fatigue

More than halfway through the first month of the new year and I'm confident that everyone is already feeling fatigued or jaded because of this pandemic. Hence, the image of sugary treats above to fuel the need for some sensory stimulation. Since the holidays, I've been looking forward to the end of a work day and weekends to watch a few fantasy series shows, read inspirational/spiritual books, and set aside time to breathe and be aware of what my body is feeling at a given moment. I've tried to cut down on screen time (the social media kind), mainly because my work hours are mostly spent looking at two screens and it certainly helped with any kind of physical strain I feel anywhere. I've rekindled my nightly routine of diffusing essential oils--well, we know what that normally led to based on my previous posts: strange dreams. Interestingly...strange yet pleasant dreams. That I forget when I wake up...well, not completely. Pleasant circumstances and pleasant characters. Many thanks to my subconscious. I suppose that mustering any effort to care for one's consciousness, whether through less exposure to technological doom scrolling or giving more attention to breathing, is reflected back by one's subconscious in the form of pleasant dreams. And hey, when I say pleasant...as in wholesome pleasant dreams, okay? :) Just making light of things. No profound realizations today—like most days. Hah. Cheers.
