Immutable stuff

I randomly borrowed an ebook on E.B. White’s Writings from the New Yorker from 1927-1976. Now, I understand if you suddenly thought to yourself “ooh, Anna’s being highbrow” no, no, no. The fact is I’m lowbrow or low-of-center…a higbrow climber…? I assure you that I impulsively hit the “borrow” button on my Libby* app because I was looking for something entertaining. And by entertaining: a romance novel. I did borrow one yesterday but after a couple of pages, I was “meh.” I then thought, you know what, how about a magazine? So I typed “New Yorker” mainly because I’ve been getting advertisements on social media about a trial subscription, which I’ve successfully resisted aside from all other types of promotions online. Here we are. It’s great…lots of bite-sized essays about all types of topics. Kind of like this blog. Anyway, disillusionment…affinity for the immutable when much older. Huh (scratching my chin). Yeah.

*If you haven’t heard of it and have a North American Library Card from your local library, I highly recommend that you check it out.
