Thank the Lord for...

Thank you a million gazillion times infinity, Lord!

This poster is brash and heartless, but it's kinda funny depending on the circumstances you're in when you read it. Or if you're a lawyer or in the judiciary and you understand all those Latinized jargon that's meant to intimidate and get one's way out of some legal rut. Word power. And since we mentioned Latin, make that Word-from-a-dead-language Power. Corny infection spreading like wildfire. *lonesome dorky, snorty laugh*

Ouch, Lord, that was a fast reaction

"We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak." ~Epictetus

Okay....I just had to come across that passage. I get it, Lord. No complaints. I haven't complained. I will move on.

Another interesting quote I just read:
"Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it." ~Author Unknown

Amen.

I'm tired of listening

Melancholy, Edvard Munch, 1891

When will I find ears amidst the sea of blabbering mouths?
I've become accustomed to being mute.
It's as if there's a large vault in my chest that keeps getting heavier with no promise of ever becoming unloaded.
I want to live far from here.
I'm tired of offering myself up like some punching bag.
Yes, I find some sense of fulfillment from the whole pseudo-altruism/masochism activity. I guess, part of me would like a shot at being the "unloader."
But I guess we're all called to some kind of vocation.

I accept my fate. Whatever it is.

Still, so near yet so far
