psywar

We are becoming reduced to lazy, sponge-like beings who accept whatever information is being fed by the media, persons of influence, or the web. We base our decisions or conclusions on what these explicit sources present to us. We are into the whole bandwagon, homogeneity-is-the-rule-so-wear-skinny jeans-and-flaunt-your-mac-teknobabble culture that the threat of that part of our brain in-charge of esthetics or sense of life or imagination being lost as an evolutionary implication of the desire to be exactly the person on TV or have whatever's the fad according to vogue is looming like the next natural disaster. Hey, I read vogue but becoming Gisele Bundchen's carbon copy never crossed my mind. That'd be reinventing the wheel. Vogue is entertaining, period. So to those who are capitalizing on the notion that the common folk's thoughts revolve around celebrities and what they have, think again. I know what you think you know that I know. Because you don't really know what you ought to know that I know. And for once I'm proud to be 1-in-probably-a-billion. I guess that's called 'check and balance'.

chaotic can be quixotic

Mondays & Thursdays are dissection days so the image above is a common sight/ eye sore for yours truly. Well, that's employment for ya. I start off with lectures at 7am and end at 4pm. At least today is Thursday...because Monday is dissection + doctoral class day so I get off at 7pm. Meanwhile, Tuesdays and Fridays are 7am-10am workdays. That's two 1 1/2 lecture classes in a row. And don't get me started with grad classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

So you can understand my daily exhaustion despite 6-7 hours of sleep each night. Then again, balancing teaching, studying, motherly & wifely duties, and others is such a romantic, bittersweet thing. I'm trying to psyche myself up. I need some good vibrations. Maybe I should watch a YouTube clip of the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations." Or maybe I need a slice of apple pie a la mode. Or maybe I need to watch a movie. Or maybe I should don a maillot and bask in a far away beach. Or maybe I should go somewhere icy cold.

Or maybe I should just blog and pretend that I have a social life. That just might work.

Fixation deterioration

My indifference level is increasing logarithmically. I'm like immunization...I'm painful now but may be good for you in the long run.

a pity

I am turned off by insensitive, inconsiderate, self-absorbed, attention-seeking persons. On the one hand, I feel sorry for them since eventually no one will remain to give a rat's ass about them. People in this century are enthused in just a blink of an eye and move on at a much faster rate than citizens in the days of yore. Surely, only those who are in dire need of something or are plain daft actually continue to lavish those with a severe case of superiority complex the attention that feeds the aforementioned complex. Ew.
