Rediscovering Hanson

My younger sister found a VHS tape containing random clips of her undergraduate days, her 17th birthday party, the American Music Awards (1998...i think), the Rosie O' Donnel show, and some music videos. It even had a few commercials (including the Starburst ad with depressed cheerleaders). The last half of the tape was dedicated especially to Hanson. Boy, was she a huge fan back then. My other sister is still a fan and is still hoping that someday Taylor (Hanson, not Hicks...hehe) would meet her and instantly fall head-over-heels in love with her (even though Tay is married).

I probably didn't know it, but I was a Hanson fan--am a Hanson fan. How can I not be when my sisters would play Hanson's christmas record all year round? I used to share a room with my youngest sister---I had the upper bunk---and she had posters of the band on the walls and the ceiling so everytime I go to bed and each time I wake up, I see three blond kids smiling at me. And whenever I hear any of their songs on the radio, I start to sing along! They make really good music. The fact that they compose songs and produce their own records makes them even more interesting. So yeah, I'd buy their new record.

Grissom and Sara

Ack! Grissom and Sara are officially a couple! I'm a huge huge huge fan of the two, even though I know for a fact that there are a couple of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans who would rather see Grissom and Catherine get together. There's this cerebral love story going on between the two and it seems that the attraction began before Grissom even became acting supervisor of the LVPD CSI graveyard shift (2nd episode of the 1st season). It really is nice to see a serious relationship between intelligent professionals...it's not sappy...no cheese factor whatsoever. Revealing their relationship to the audience at the end of the sixth season is a great move by the writers of the show---it's about time! According to the show's writers, there was no hesitation among the actors when the GSR (Grissom Sara Romance) was proposed. When I saw the last scene of the 6th season finale (check out the banner link above) I started screaming...yeah, I'm THAT BIG of a fan. There wasn't anything sensual about the bedroom scene at all, it was just like a conversation between a married couple (which was William Petersen's sentiment about the whole thing). I can't wait for season 7 and how everything will unfold. Geek Love rules! (Ngyuck ngyuck).....we all have our 'thing'.
